Russell has been working with Hartley Voices for over a decade and has been involved in the arts all his life, stating at the tender age of eight in a school production of Yo-ho-ho. He moved from his home town of Kidderminster to London to gain his BMus and MMus at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study voice on an unconditional place under the tutelage of Mr Ian Kennedy.
Russell is a key member of the ensemble with his huge personality, diligence and love for creating brilliant performances. He not only excels as an operatic tenor and musical theatre soloist, with a particular affinity for Gilbert and Sullivan, but is a key coordinator for our barbershop quartet and a cappella vocal quartets.
