Hartley Voices has gone from strength to strength over the last one and half decades with an ever expanding team of very carefully selected, talented performers who work closely together to create the very best productions for a vast variety of events, auditioning each member of the team and carefully building on the productions that we offer to our varied clients to give the most amazing and memorable performances throughout the UK and abroad.
Sara created Hartley Voices in 2003 and has worked passionately over the last decade to develop it into a resilient and enviable team of the most talented performers and ensemble leaders to bring unique, beautiful, engaging and entertaining performances to all of the UK’s varied events and abroad. She fused her love and talent for performing with her other natural talent for organisation and creativity, creating a company where people can find fabulous, reliable performers for their events. Tom is a wonderful and incredibly talented ensemble leader and member of the Hartley Voices team, not just for his tenor voice, but his ability to write bespoke music arrangements for us, speak expertly to clients about music and performance choices, and lead the ensemble wherever requested with expert confidence, professionalism and contagious kindness. He is a conductor, singer, organist, and publisher. He is Director of the London-based chamber choir, St Michael’s Chorale, the Walbrook Community Choir, and Director of Music at Christ Church, Echo Square in Gravesend.

Catherine has been working with Hartley Voices for well over a decade now and is no stranger to performing in any venue, for any event, with any blend of voices, singing our vast variety of repertoire. Catherine graduated with her BAMus Hons from the University of Nottingham in 2003 and completed her studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has successfully led over a hundred ensembles through various events including weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, vocal recordings and film premieres. Client feedback has alway been overwhelmingly positive with countless recommendations leading to new future work and repeat bookings.

Russell has been working with Hartley Voices for almost a decade and involved in the arts all his life, stating at the tender age of eight in a school production of Yo-ho-ho. He moved from his home town of Kidderminster to London to gain his BMus and MMus at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study voice on an unconditional place under the tutelage of Mr Ian Kennedy.

James is one of the UK’s most distinguished and respected young choral directors, in demand for his work as conductor, choir trainer, choral education practitioner, arranger and adjudicator and another hugely valuable member of the Hartley Voices team. Formerly the chief choral advisor for the BBC’s sheet music archives, James has delivered projects for the BBC Singers Education Department as workshop leader and mentor, as well as regularly conducting and preparing choirs for broadcasts on TV and Radio.
