Zita is a wonderful, warm and engaging soprano. Hire this talented professional opera singer for any event to add sophistication and sparkle. Graduate of the Royal Holloway University of London with First Class Honours in Music, she continued her studies in Florence and recently in Berlin with soprano, Cheryl Studer. In 2016 she was a Britten-Pears Young Artist, working with Bernarda Fink, and was a finalist in the John Kerr Award for English Song.
Moncaud in the Music Festival d’Orange. Recent recitals include a programme of Czech Song for the Britten-Pears Foundation, a solo recital at St James’s Piccadilly, The National Portrait Gallery and Garrick’s Temple to Shakespeare.
Recent operatic roles have included Mimi La Bohème, Rosalinde Die Fledermaus and Zerlina Don Giovanni for Opera in Oborne, Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas for Surrey Opera, Dr Mary in the UK premiere of Doctor Selavy’s Magic Theatre by Stanley Silverman at the New Wimbledon Theatre and Elsa in The Grand Duke at the Buxton Festival. Other opera companies with which she has appeared include Opera Holland Park, Opera Australia, Opera Della Luna and the Olivier Award winning company OperaUpClose in La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Monteverdi’s I’incoronazione di Poppea. Forthcoming performances include Antonia The Tales of Hoffmann, Cherubino Le Nozze di Figaro for Intermezzo Opera and a season at Longborough Festival Opera where she will be covering the role of Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata.
Recent concert engagements include Mozart’s Requiem for the Aberystwyth Choral Society and Brahms’ Liebeslieder Walzer for the Allegri Singers. Zita has recorded and toured extensively through Britain and abroad with the Bach Choir, St Endellion Festival and Convivium Singers. For Naxos, she has recorded Herbert Howells’s Hymnus Paradisi and movie soundtracks for Shrek the Third and Prince Caspian.
Forthcoming engagements include Timothy Hamilton’s Requiem at St Paul’s Church Covent Garden and Dvořák’s Mass in D at St James’s Piccadilly.
